- Law No. 12.305, of August 2, 2010 - National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS). - Decree No. 11.043, of April 13, 2022 - National Solid Waste Plan (Planares). Approves the National Solid Waste Plan, which aims to improve waste management in Brazil with guidelines, strategies, actions and targets for the next 20 years. Among the objectives are the closure of dumps, increased recycling and energy recovery from waste.
- Law No. 14.785, of December 27, 2023.
